Day 141 Brick and Siding

Work is progressing nicely once again!!!! The brick guys are very skilled, watching them toss bricks to each other 2 and 3 stories high is amazing, not to mention the precision of their work. I tried to get a picture of the bricks in mid-air, but it was out of focus and Darko wouldn't let me put it on the site--but it was cool! We thought we had conservatively estimated that we would need about 20,500 bricks, but we're short about 2,000! Hopefully they have our color available!!! The small amount of siding we needed is almost finished as well. Monday morning the electrician and roofing crew will be coming. Hopefully the shingles will all be on by wednesday, when rain may be coming again!

Day 129 Windows are Set

Well, we passed the outside sheeting inspection. Things have been progressing a bit slowly because of the holidays and rain. The windows and doors have been installed, the back screened in porch foundation, columns, and floor have been finished, and the plumbing should be ready for an inspection sometime this week. We're now working on HVAC, electrical and pretty soon, exterior brick. We hope to have the shingles installed as soon as the brick is finished.
